Lake Singkarak in West Sumatra

Lake Singkarak is the Largest Lake in West Sumatra, and the second largest on the island of Sumatra, after Lake Toba. This lake has approximately 107.8 km wide. To find the peace it's here, we can relax for a moment on the edge of the lake with stunning views of this. Background mountain chain along the edge of the lake further add to the beauty of the lake. Location Lake Singkarak is also quite strategic if you want to go around to several attractions in West Sumatra. The lake is located midway between Solok and Padang Panjang. With such a position if you want to go to Lake Singkarak, the city of Padang, you have two choices of route ie via Solok City or Town Padang Panjang.

 SingkarakLake is famous for its fish Bilih which is a fish species that lives only in this lake alone. This fish is very unique because it can not survive anywhere, even inside the aquarium except at LakeSingkarak
